My two-year-old has been obsessed with matching these up, and the subdued colors are a nice break from loud plastic toys. The fossils actually feel convincing in hand, not cheap at all, and it's been a solid way to introduce sea life.
The textures on these are incredible—my son keeps picking up the trilobite just to rub his thumb over the ridges. They're heavy enough to feel substantial, and the muted colors look way nicer scattered on our coffee table than I expected.
My two-year-old grabbed these immediately and kept turning them over to feel the bumpy fossil texture. The colors are so muted and natural they don't scream "toy," which I love for our living room.
