The even glow is so gentle that my toddler actually sits still to explore textures on it, something that never happens with our regular toys. We've been using it for a week now and the light hasn't flickered once, even when we leave it on for a whole afternoon of shadow play.
My kids have spent hours with it since it arrived, and the light is genuinely soothing rather than harsh. The even glow makes color mixing trays look magical, and I love that I don't worry about heat or energy use while they play.
The surface is wonderfully even with no dark spots, and my kids have spent an hour just stacking translucent blocks on it to watch the shadows shift. It’s bright enough to be engaging but not harsh on their eyes, and the energy-efficient LEDs mean I don't worry about leaving it on during a long play
