My kids spend way longer with these than with regular wooden blocks — the clear pieces catch the afternoon light and turn into glowing towers. They fit right in with our old block set too, so the whole thing just got bigger.
The acrylic pieces line up perfectly with our wooden unit blocks, so my kids mix them into the same towers without anything wobbling. Holding them up to the window and watching the colors glow on the floor kept them busy for a solid hour.
The color and light aspect is genuinely pretty—my daughter holds them up to the window and the whole floor turns rainbow. That said, the acrylic scratches faster than I'd like, and for the price I expected them to hold up better against regular block play.
